OH GOD NO!

*cries* My tablet is dead. DEAD. I've already determined that the problem is the actual tablet, not my computer, not the tablet's connection to the computer, not the mouse or pen... but the actual tablet. Which, sadly, is the most expensive thing to replace in this case.

I'll still do everything in my power to get you pages, though. Robin's tablet works on my comptuer, so I may have to steal hers for a bit.

So um... I've never actually asked for donations before. So, if Wacom gets back to me tomorrow and says that I need a new tablet and that this one is kaput... I'd love a little support from my viewers. A new tablet would set me back about $100... and I don't have that much to spend right now when I have bills to pay and a hungry tummy to feed! If you know how to use Paypal, the email to send it to is "rekka@skyfallmanga.com." You don't have to send a lot--every little bit can help me out. Also, I plan on keeping track of those who send me money--so expect something extra as my token of gratitude... once I get a tablet and can work on said token. Please comment on what you'd like that token to be.

Update

Guess what! Vote incentives are tasty.

New page, again. What's this? Shin took off his headband? *gasp* I think he looks hawt with the long hair. *nod* Hm... where have I seen him before... *hint hint--go reread the prologue*

Thanksgiving was a welcome break. Much traveling (all the way to Aaa-aaaa-aaaaaa--aaaalbuquerque), much family, much food. Two pages completed, which isn't too bad considering that I didn't really feel much like drawing most of the week...

The vote incentive for this week is the redesign of Tanoshii's costume. Thought I'd try her with her hair down for once. I'll probably introduce it within the chapter. Figure she's got to change clothes at some point! Just simply colored with Crapola colored pencils cuz I didn't want to haul my Prismas and I had them on hand for a geology lab. Thanks so much for voting for me and all! I jumped from high 90's to low 60's in a week. *love* In December, let's see how much higher I can climb!

In other news, if you haven't gone to see RENT, do it. It's frickin' awesome. Seriously. I laughed, I cried, I sang along. I really like the people that replaced Mimi and Joann, and I really appreciate how much of the original cast was not replaced. Messed with the timeline, and cut a fair portion out... but I think it was still true to the theme and heart of the story.

New page. Yay for Kiyami and his sexy self.

I'm so glad that Thanksgiving break is this week... omg... FINALLY I have a break to do pages. It's frustrating to not have much in the way of backup pages anymore... (I'm down to 1 in ink, 2 in pencil)

Also, I plan on also using that time to come up with something to do for voting incentives. It seems like the comics that do the best on toplists have incentives for people to vote. I tried to whip something up for today... but yeah, failure. Guess I'm not really with it right now. So... after flipping through my sketchbook... I happened upon an unfinished sketch. I have a lot of those laying around. *shrug* I could just look through my class notes and find stuff--I have a bad habit of drawing in class. Perhaps I should bring my small sketchbook to class and actually do something productive rather than mere doodling. I'll try that, see what happens.

I'm also taking suggestions on what you all would like to see in the incentive drawings. I have a lot of concept sketches (super duper rough), doodles, firm but unfinished sketches, and undrawn ideas just floating around. I'd also be willing to do sidestories (comic form, just little one-shots) that I'd publish as extras in a printed version, but that you'd get to see early. So... here's your chance to see what you want.

Update

Sorry about the delay. Tasty pages are worth the wait though.

Anyway, studying last night was pretty much in vain. The test today raped me hardcore. Then again, it raped everyone in the class... but I'm feeling better about it now that I've had a nap and time to get my mind off of it.

Have you all been good and voting for me? *puppy eyes* Please? It makes me happy when people vote. You can do it up to once a day. *nodnod* Though... honestly... I like comments better. Guess it's nice to see that people are enjoying what you do.

In other news, I went to Fiji Formal--a dance that my boyfriend's fraternity holds once a year. I have several pictures, but just thought I'd put up one of me and him. *nod* If not just for the memories when I go looking back through this.

Yup. So, I think that's about it for this week. Next week kicks off Episode 6--the last one in this volume. Nearly a third done! Whee.

Supercomputers and FF7

So... I'm sitting here at school. Bored out of my mind. I'm running a program that's modeling the differential cooling of a lava lake... and it's iterating over 50 years... by seconds. This is where I really appreciate how useful a supercomputer would be right about now. All my profs say that geophysical computation is always a step ahead of the technology of the times. We've got the equations... we just don't have the computing power to run the programs to model things on the scale we need them. They test supercomputers nowadays with the equations that model the Earth's gravitational field caused by the geodynamo. Only within the last couple of years has the computer spat out something that even remotely resembled the observed field. Granted, my program isn't nearly that complex... it's just taking it's dear sweet time doing it's thing.

In other news, I've been playing Final Fantasy VII. And I'm addicted. Granted, I was addicted to FFX once I warmed up to Tidus, but... I really like Cloud (messed up though he is). And Tifa is teh awesome. Sephiroth makes a pretty cool villian as well. I like the Chocobos... so I'm working on breeding/racing them right now. Anyway, I never got a chance to play many videogames as a kid, so this is the first time for me playing through stuff like that. Here's hoping that the PS3 release will do the original justice.

And finally, in SkyFall news--the new page is almost ready to go for Monday, so expect a timely update.

Update

So, finished the page last night... and forgot to upload it till now. Oops.

Anyway, gotta cut this short--I have a test to go to. Yay. -_-;

Hope the wait was worth it!

Halloween Piccies!

>.> I dressed up as a hooker yesterday. Just thought I'd share. Cody, my boyfriend, is my slave... We went trick-or-treating, and whoo... made out like bandits.
