Happy Holidays everybody! Here's a special little treat for you. Almost as tasty as candy canes! Anyway, not much luck getting motivated to draw lately. Perhaps tomorrow I'll find the gumption to force myself to do some pages. *nod* Until then... stay tuned--I'm going to try to periodically update with sketches and the like to keep you entertained until I get back to my normal computer.

Firstoff--I am steadily approaching ONE MILLION HITS. Wheee. That's quite a bit of an accomplishment in my book. Granted, it took me over three years to hit that, but hey! I'm still happy about it.

So, page of TEXT. Not sure if I'm totally satisfied with how it turned out, but ehh... I got across what I needed to. So, Shin finally spills the beans about what the hell he's up to. Well, perhaps a few of them. I like how the actual illustration turned out--I think the text detracts from it a bit. Hm. Too much white space!

Anyway, this week's vote incentive is a drawing I did over a year ago of Nesshin's costume design. Just somethin' random I found in an old sketchbook. Next week, I'm going to see if I can scrounge up some of my old old OLD art. Like, from when I was first learning. I'm going home--I have access to that kind of thing for once.

Hm. Will try to do much of the drawing over winter break--just have to find the willpower to do it. I get lethargic over breaks. Check back on the website throughout the week--Christmas is coming up, and you wouldn't want to miss it if I happened to put something up... yanno?

So, page is currently in inks. Headache and exhaustion last night prevented me from toning and texting the new page. It'll be up later this afternoon. Until then, have a tasty new incentive to hold you over for the main course.

EDIT: Page up now. Mmm. Finals tomorrow.

Also... about the weird glitchy thing I've heard stuff about... hm. It's strange, because I'm using Firefox and IE, and it's working just fine on my computer. I'll look into it.

Page Toned

I got my new tablet in the mail, so I finished up the toning on this page (I really love how Shin's aura came out) and modified some of the text. I'll be back on Monday with another new page and another vote incentive. Hm. I'm not sure what to put up for that quite yet, but it ought to be good.

Classes are over. I have three finals: one on Tuesday, one on Wednesday, and one on Thursday. Should be fun--I'm not too worried, really. I'll be around for a little bit during break, and I will try to work out a way to update while I'm not at home.

Soooo.... no luck with the tablet situation. *sigh* Many thanks to those of you who have donated. So far I've gotten about $25 to help me out. I did break down and dip into savings to buy a new one. Kind of a necessity, yanno? So... that's put me back about $100. Bleh. Money I was hoping to spend on OTHERS for X-mas. Oh well. For those of you still interested in helping me out, there's a new button above the update box.

When I get my tablet in, I'll be emailing my donators something special as my sign of gratitude.

Since I'm having to steal Robin's (dammit, go visit her website and tell her thanks! SOG) tablet and she doesn't have the install CD with her, her tablet isn't doing the pressure sensitivity thing I want it to. It pretty much just acts as a mouse... but it's better than using the keyboard, that's for DAMN sure. The new page will be toned as soon as I get my new tablet in the mail... hopefully sometime later this week. I'll send out an update email when that happens, so keep an eye out.
In other news, this past week has been majorly sucky. I've been sick for most of it off and on (missed all of Wednesday because I slept until 5pm), and now I seem to have come down with a head cold. Bleeehhhh. And, of course, the tablet situation... not to mention tests and homeworks and labs and the usual day-to-day life. Finals are next week, but my first one isn't until Tuesday. Yay.

Here's hoping that things start looking up again soon...
