I'm home!

Just a quick update to say, "HOLY CRAP I'M BACK!" Didja miss me? I bet you did. I have pages. And new drawings. And photos. Lots of photos. Sadly, no lava for me. Made me cry. Um... I'll be back with a new page on Monday and a new vote incentive and a few photos so you can see that I wasn't out on the beach.

I've got a lot to catch up on. And that's an understatement.

Starting later this month (April) I'm going to be releasing conceptual sketches for my next project that's in the infancy stage for vote incentives. It won't be started until much much much much much much later, but I thought you all might like to see what else I've got up my sleeve. More on that later... >.>

Goin' to Hawai'i!

OK, the last week has been a total and complete hell as far as time goes. Been up late almost EVERY night trying to finish stuff for school--and today I have a test, two labs due, and a presentation. I have had no time whatsoever to do the page--which makes me sad.

My flight leaves tomorrow at 6am... ewwwww.

So, I'm hoping to get some drawing done on the plane, because I will be in the air for about 9 hours. That, and my sketchbook will be my bedtime buddy when I'm trying to relax after a tough day out in the field. Yay.

I want to get Ch. 6 finished up here soon so I can start working on getting the printed version out. Won't that be spiffy?

Anyway, expect stuff when I get back, and tons and tons of pictures. Yay for my new digital camera. Bwah!

Update

Guess what! Vote incentives are tasty.

Being sick sucks. I missed two full days of lecture last week, and was very much of the feverish on Tuesday night. Like, to the point where I was delirious, saying things like, "You got schooled by a kangarooo! A KANGAROOOOOOoooOOOO! I want toast. TOOOOAAAASSSTTTTTT. Tasty toast. Wheeeee. I'm a panda!" It was special. Having the boys in the apartment playing Tekken probably didn't help, but yeahhhh. On top of that, we're in a serious crunch for going to Hawai'i. I assure you, we aren't going to sit on the beach. Gonna be too rainy for that! We still have a lot of work to do before we can leave on our surveys... hot damn.

So, with homework piling up and me still attempting to recover, it is by no small miracle that I bring you a page this week. Next week, you probably won't be as lucky, as I'll be scrambling to pack. But who knows? I enjoy doing pages enough that it's nice to take a break and draw. My groove is coming back, slowly... and I'm hoping to get a few pages done while in Hawai'i.

Since I barely got the page done, you get a vote incentive of a different sort. You get to see the unskewed, full version of the circle that Nesshin's drawing. I had to draw it out on the computer... since it's in most of the following pages at least once.

Here's hoping I come back next week with the next page and that by then I will be well!!
