Update

Guess what! Vote incentives are tasty.

Page 20. Not much to it, so it went pretty quickly. Nice and stark and dramatic methinks. Poor Nesshin, I do adore torturing him. Anyway, vote incentive this week is the original sketch I did about a year ago (on the back of my Japanese homework, mind you) as the idea for this page. I like them both, but I opted for the more contrasted look to give the page a darker feel.

Um. I've got inks on the next page done, and only three more pages after that to draw before the end of the chapter. I'm hoping that they'll go pretty quickly... but alas, finals are coming up VERY soon.

Some days I wish I could drop out and go be an artist. But alas, I'd probably starve.

Two new fanarts this week by the lovely Echan. They go together... >.>

Heheehehehe. Too much fun. Anyway, till next time... keep an eye on the website and keep them votes comin'!

Page 19 done. And on time no less. After all that's happened this last week and today, I was almost thinking it wasn't going to get done! Ha ha! I showed that page. Ahem. Anyway... hmm, wonder what's wrong with him... Better come back and see next week!

Um. Vote incentive this week is the first sketch I did for Shishin... this is Haruko, resident kitsune and all around troublemaker. She's fun, and uber-cute.

The next few weeks are going to be tight as usual... and finals are coming up soon. I'm going to do my best to try to finish the chapter before I leave for field camp... so you might get a few pages mid-week so I can cram it all in before 5/14 (yes, we leave on Mother's Day... bummer). Good news for you though! Or is it? Bwahahahaha. After the 14th I'll be out of contact for two weeks while I'm off on yet another field trip. This time it's up in the mountains... lookin' for water. Ho boy! Blah. After that I'll have time to start putting stuff together for the printed version...

Finished page 18 now up! And it's still Monday no less. Muwahaha.

So, homework happened. Then Saturday I was too busy with boy and birthday stuff... I can't wait till Wednesday! Parteh parteh! I'll finally be able to drink whatever I want! Muwahaha. Ahem. Alas, I was only able to complete the pencils for the new page. However, the pencils are still kickass, and I really like the way this page is turning out.

Check back later tonight or sometime tomorrow--it'll be finished sometime very soon!!

In other news, vote incentive is another new character for the project I'll refer to from now on as "Shishin." That's not the full title, but it's short and close enough. This is Seiryuu. Anyone seeing a trend here?

Anyway, gonna go work on inks before bed to wind down a little. See you guys tomorrow when the page is done.

Gotta make this short, as I'm running a little late for class today... meep! New page today, yay. Four new fanarts:

Shin and Nesshin by Syprus Nesshin by Diane Nesshin by Diane Nesshin by Keali

Fixed up a small confusion with who should get credit for the fanart in the last batch. Sorry Diane, I'm a spaz. That's fixed now.

Vote incentive this week is the newest illustration I've done... and I'm rather proud of it. I finished it like... two months ago, and haven't had the heart to put it up anywhere. She's the main character from my upcoming series (that won't be started till after SF is finished)... and that's all you get to know for now since I'm in a hurry. More information forthcoming... ...next week.

Well, I'm back in mostly one piece. My feet hurt, my ankles are all kinds of swollen, and I'm very stressed out from not technically getting a Spring Break. I got two pages done, which is a pretty big accomplishment considering it was get up at 6, have breakfast, make lunch, go into field, come back, make dinner, data processing, then go to bed at 10 for most of our days. There were two days we had to be up at 4. That was fun.

Anyway, enough of my griping. Vote incentive this week is something I sketched up after going into the field. We were working very close to Halema'uma'u, the place where locals believe that Pele lives... so I did a little tribute to her. She was good to us while we were there, even if I didn't get to see any surface flows.

So yeah. Me, all decked out in my gear out in the field. That's sulfur I'm standing on. Gas mask = awesome. Poncho = not so much.

Um. I'll be 21 in a few days (4/19, hint hint), and that'll be nifty. If you didn't read my post from before about the whole vote incentive thing... you should. It'll be spiffy. There are some really nice drawings I'm itching to show you all. ^o^

Till next week... ja ne!
