Guess what! Vote incentives are tasty.


Had a bit of an up and down weekend. Saturday, Aikido practice aside, straight up sucked. Today was better, but I had a lot of stuff to do. I got a lot done, but I can't say I really feel super-accomplished. I have some homework to do... makes me sad that I didn't get it started today like I was kinda hoping. I got everything else done, though... including cleaning the bathroom! Thankfully, the page is right on time. I've found a decently quick toning technique that seems to work pretty well, so that helps. Ink to finish only took me a little over an hour.

Vote incentive today is a concept sketch from the previous page. I had it laying around.

Um... not much else to report. Returning to two pages a week next week--we'll see how that goes. I'm shooting for Monday/Thursday. I need to work on my time management... and I've found the less free time I have, the better I utilize the time I have.

I think I'm gonna go draw a bit before bed and then crash. I have another early morning ahead of me...

School starts on Tuesday... I'm a little apprehensive about how my schedule is going to turn out, but it's looking alright so far. I'm a grad student now... kinda freaking me out. *shrug*

Anyway, I just noticed the site counter is up past 1.5 million. Kinda nifty. This page was... kinda fun. Until I decided to do all the shading on the background of the last panel by hand. Bleh!

Back from hiatus! It feels good to be back to doing pages again... though due time constraints and exhaustion in Washington I ended up only getting about four pages in pencil done. All in one sitting, mind you. I'm glad I got at least a few done, but I was hoping for more. Kinda hard when I was zonking out three hours earlier than I'm used to.

Anyway, I'm back and in one piece. I survived two weeks of camping and field work in the crater of Mt. St. Helens. Good stuff, hard work... all for sake of my thesis. Whee.

I tentitively plan to return to 2 pages per week in September... I need a little time to build up a backlog. Chapter 10 is pretty fun, and once I get past the cover, should go decently smoothly. In other news, I'm starting to run out of script, so I need to get working on that again as well. I'm about halfway through Chapter 11... and the current scene has me a bit blocked. More updates on that later I suppose.

Vote incentive this week is the ONLY thing I drew while I was on MSH. I only had a chance to draw it because the first night we were there, we were rained in with only 2/3rds of our equipment and people for that matter. Nothing better to do than sit in the tent and wait out the rain...

I return!!

Alright, so... I'm back. There will be a new page and some incentivey goodness on Monday. Washington was AMAZING. I lurved it. I had a great time up there, and I'm really glad I had the opportunity to do what I did.... more on that later.

Anyway, I'm fiddling with fixing up some problems I've had publishing to my website... doing some workarounds and stuff... a pain for sure, but eh.

Hope you all weren't TOO starved without me! I missed you all, too!
