Update

*yawn*

Been up since 6. For those of you that know me, that's super early. I'm not a morning person. However, since my boyfriend got a job that's roughly 40 minutes away, he has to get up early to get there by 8. Being the nice girlfriend I am, I get up with him so he can get out the door on time and not be tempted by a nice, warm bed. It's probably a good thing for me as well, since it gives me an extra three to four hours in the morning to do stuff. Today, I toned the page that I didn't get a chance to finish last night.

I forgot that I had planned to do dinner and a movie with some friends, and well... came home much more tired than I had planned. I crashed about half an hour after getting home. Thankfully, I finished the inking and whatnot before I left.

I have links and character bios to get online--that'll be up sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Yep. Now it's time to go pack a lunch and head off to work... and go in search of caffeine.

First order of business--the page. I'm not quite sure I did justice to the image in my head of this scene, but I think I did alright. I wish I was better at making "camera" angles more extreme... but I didn't want to take forever on the page either.

Also, I got a mini-review from Caybo of Insane Undertakings that I randomly found tracking down referrals from yesterday. I tend to agree with what he said.

In other news, I got contacts! Kind of a new feeling... but overall I like it. I should've gotten them YEARS ago. Now I don't feel bad playing rough in Aikido. Yay.

Wow, a lot of new and exciting things are coming out and/or to an end this week!

First, from last week's post, Dr. Horrible concluded this weekend. Typical Whedon ending, but I like begging for more. Mmmhm.

Second, Dark Knight was amazing. I won't be surprised when awards time comes around if it wins Best Picture, as it was definitely top notch. A bit long, but really good.

And lastly, Avatar finally finished. I laughed, I cried, and it filled me with the happiness.

In more comic-related news, we're FOUR pages from the end of the volume. That means I get to spend time putting the print version together. Now taking votes for bonus content!

Hm. Page-wise, Kawaru breaks her speech pattern for the first time in a while. Loosening up? Or just flustered? Hm, probably both. I'm not particularly pleased with the page overall... I like panel 2, but that's about it. Kind of forced this one out to stay on schedule.

Life's kinda meh at the moment. I'm busy... and yet not. I'm doing things I want to do, but not as much things I need to do. I dread waking up and thinking I'm going to waste another day doing nothing... or the small things and then having big things to worry about the next day. And the next day. Etc.

Sorry. Needed that out of my system. I guess I just need to pick myself up and do what I can.

Ugh, I hate it when my FTP doesn't work right. It takes SO much longer to update using the control panel. OMG.

In other news, I passed my test for sankyu (first degree brown belt) in Aikido this Saturday, but I won't actually earn my belt until early September. Still, it's one less thing to worry about. ^^

I can't believe it's halfway through July already. How time flies...

Yup. Page. This one wasn't too bad... Originally I was going to put this page and the next in one page... but decided to break up the action and give it more room. I think it worked better this way.

Aside from that, I've been spectacularly undermotivated to do much of anything as of late. I feel better when I do stuff, but forcing myself to do it in the first place has been difficult. Here's hoping my energy perks up here soon!!

Not too much to say today. Just got back from a mini-vacation... got a haircut of awesome... Yeah.

Inspiration has been kind of low lately, but that's the way it goes. I am excited that Volume 2 is almost complete--we're less than 10 pages from the end of the volume, which means I can put it in print.

Lots of stuff to do... not enough time to do it and still have time to sleep. C'est la vie.

I was hoping that I'd be able to have a two page update ready by today, but other projects and artblock got in the way. No page will be up for Friday since I'm leaving for mini-vacation on Thursday morning. So... yeah.
